RULES
General Contest Rules: (All contest participants must agree to abide by the General and Contest Specific Rules. The submission of an entry shall be deemed to indicate acceptance of these rules.) No Purchase Necessary. Void where prohibited. The Regent Broadcasting BIG FISH Photo Contest, Phase 2 is open to all residents of Minnesota, 21 years of age or older. Employees of Regent Communications, and their immediate families, affiliates, advertising agencies, competing broadcast media and any other participating sponsors are not eligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, parents, siblings, children, grandparents and grandchildren. Contests and promotions are subject to all federal, state and local laws. Our contests are intended to simply be fun without the intention of creating legal relations. Entry does not create an enforceable contract. All entries become the property of Regent Broadcasting of St. Cloud, Inc. and cannot be returned (unless otherwise stated). Only one winner per household will be allowed. Particular contests or promotions may have rules that are specific to those contests or promotions. If the particular rules for a specific contest or promotion conflict with the general rules, the contest specific rules will control. Regent Broadcasting will make an attempt to contact winners of drawings via mail and/or phone with the information supplied by contestants on official contest entries. Regent Broadcasting is not responsible for failure to contact winners due to any technical problems or incorrect information supplied. We reserve the right to substitute a prize for equal or greater value in the event that the announced prize is unavailable. Regent Broadcasting reserves the right to make changes to all contest rules at any time without notice. Failure to comply with contest rules may result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute for any reason, the decision of Regent Broadcasting management is final.
Contest Specific Rules: Begins December 16th and ends December 31st. (To be given away separately from the Otter Ice Fish House giveaway from the same contest.)
The Prize is a 2-Day, 2-Night Weekend Ice Fishing Package for 2 people at the Sportsman’s Lodges - Rainy River location. Prize includes: cabin, a heated fish house to use, transportation to and from the fish house to cabin, poles, bait, tackle and fish cleaning. Does not include taxes or meals. Vacation must be used by March 31, 2010.
To enter, you must log on to one of our station’s web sites (see stations listed at top of rules page) and click on the Big Fish Photo Contest icon. You will be directed on how to enter your fish photo. One entry per person allowed. On Thursday, December 31st 2009, a Grand Prize winner will be drawn from all contest entries for this Ice Fishing Package. Each of the web sites will post the winner’s name on the drawing day. We will also notify the winner by phone. Winner will need to come to the radio station (see winner requirements in section below). Any contest winner/guest choosing to participate in special activities/events not covered in the trip package are responsible for payment of these. Winner/guest may be required to be 21 years of age to attend functions, events, clubs and/or restaurants where alcohol is served. Winner is responsible for spending cash, gratuities, etc. Prize value: $590.
Of special note: Photos can be of any fish, big or small, and can include people in the photos, if desired. Any photo sent is considered entry in the contest. Submit as many photos as you like, but only one chance in the drawing per person.
Winner requirements: The winner must have valid proof of identification (driver’s license or state-issued ID card) and social security number in order to claim their prize. Unless otherwise stated, all prizes must be claimed at the station during regular Monday through Friday business hours, 8am to 5pm. All winners automatically grant Regent Broadcasting permission to use their name, likeness, voice and any material submitted as contest entries including photos, essays, electronic mail, faxes and letters for promotional purposes in any medium, either now known or hereafter devised without additional consideration and without requiring any prior or further consent from the winner. Particular contests may limit eligibility to persons of a certain age, who live in a given geographic location, or who work in a particular job, by way of example. Contestants are responsible for determining whether such eligibility limitations apply to a particular contest or promotion. Difficulties with getting to locations (such as where there is a computer to use) to participate in the contest are not the responsibility of Regent Broadcasting. Winner will be required to sign a release form before a prize will be awarded. A prize will not be awarded to a person who, for any reason, would not be allowed by law to purchase or use the prize where the supply to that person would be unlawful. There will be no substitution or cash alternatives for non-cash prizes. Prizes are non-transferable and have no redeemable cash value. Failure to collect the prize within 30 days of the giveaway constitutes forfeiture of the prize. Another winner will not be selected unless noted in contest specific rules. If value of cash/prize(s) won with Regent Broadcasting of St. Cloud, Inc. totals $600 or more in any one calendar year, the winner will receive a Internal Revenue Form 1099 for that amount for the year in which the cash/prize(s) was won.
By accepting the prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Regent Communications and participating sponsors from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to person, including death, and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, participation in any contest-related activity, or participation in this contest. Winners are solely responsible for all taxes, duties, and other costs that may be associated with the winning of a prize. A copy of the Official Rules will be available during the duration of the contest at the Regent Broadcasting studios in St. Cloud, MN during regular business hours.
